Absolutely not!" Nick circled the vehicle, horrified. "Lacroix, this is unspeakable! You of all people should have better taste. And what about safety?" "Six air bags, Nicholas, not that it matters." "No---what about protection from the sun??" Lacroix sighed. "Planning, Nicholas. The occasion never arises. And it's perfect for city traffic." "Well, I'm not riding in it. I have my limits." "Very well then, follow me in your vehicle," Lacroix said serenely, and slid into his new car. A half hour later Lacroix waited for Nick, who as usual had to search for a parking spot large enough for the Caddy. When Nick finally appeared, Lacroix was surrounded by a bevy of cooing, admiring, giggling girls. "Wow," Nick said, awestruck at the sight. "I can park anywhere," Lacroix said smugly. "Plus---it's a chick magnet." "You win, Lacroix. I want one. Where's the nearest Mini Cooper dealership?" FINIS *************************** (Check out miniusa.com if you want to see what Lacroix was driving. I think he bought a yellow one with a black roof and racing stripes on the hood. Yes, I'm sort of new car shopping, and the Mini's on my list of possibles.) Nancy Kaminski nancykam@attbi.com ------------------------ Yahoo!
