| Every now and then a show comes along which so completely captivates its audience, that no matter what happens, they won't let it go. Forever Knight is that kind of show. It's your typical police/detecticve show like Starsky and Hutch, or LAPD Blues... ...with a twist. The main character, homicide detective Nick Knight, is a vampire. |

| Forever Knight captures the imagination, makes you feel like your next door neighbor or your co-worker on the night shift could be a vampire.....and you never suspected. When the Powers That Be ended the show's three-year run in '96, they did the unthinkable. In the final two episodes of the third season, the writers massacred all the main characters except one. Only one was left standing when the credits rolled for the last time. Shocked and horrified, the fans flocked to the internet, screaming their outrage. Here we found each other, found support groups for the grief-stricken, found sympathetic shoulders and listening ears, and we found friends. |

| We found outlets for our frustration in reading and writing fanfic, continuing the life of the show and of our favorite characters by creating a Virtual 4th Season along with countless individual fanfiction pieces, all of which are lovingly archived in various websites dedicated to Forever Knight. Fiercely denying that the final two episodes ever happened, the best writers of the Fandom have written every possible alternate ending that could possibly be conceived .....and then some. |
| Some of us found our hearts pounding to a different beat with the introduction of new characters in the beginning of the third season and of course the show spawned the inevitable slew of arguments, splitting the fandom up into a host of "factions" squabbling over who was the best, and which character should be with whom...... |
